Establishment and Application Plan of Source Identification Technology for Soil and Groundwater Oil Contamination

Absrtact
There are four parts in this project. The first part of the project consists of establishing identification technology for weathered gasoline and then making plans to carry out the volatilization test, dissolution test, simulated gasoline leakage test in the soil, gasoline blended diesel test, and analysis of real samples from contaminated sites. Whether the diagnostic ratio established by fresh gasoline is still applicable will be evaluated, and the appropriate diagnostic ratio for weathered gasoline will be re-screened in order to establish a complete gasoline supply source identification technology. The second part includes updating the gasoline and diesel fingerprint database. Currently, 84 fresh gasoline and 26 fresh diesel samples have been analyzed, which can clearly identify the oil supply source, thus demonstrating that the method established in the previous plan is still applicable. The third part is field sampling and forensic analysis to confirm the feasibility and application limitations of the technology established in the laboratory.. The fourth part involves the promotion of gasoline identification technology. Relevant explanation advocacy conferences and patent applications will help authorization of future case identification work, enhance the credibility of identification results, and effectively clarify polluter responsibility.
